NC Mountains to sea trail

07/15/2021 Region: South Atlantic Activity Type: Backpacking Place: Ashville to Nags Head, NC AF

Making plans to hike the entire mountains to sea trail. It's been a dream of mine. Basicly backpacking across the entire state. You'd need hammock or lightweight tent, backpack, misc supplies. Just need a group, or a few people to go with. Lets get the details worked out.

It sounds challenging, adventurous and exciting. Yes, I am interested in participating, planning for it, and discussing it further with you. Thank you. Rene

Hey there - not starting at Clingsman Dome or just figured folks don't know where that is? I've done most of the trail from Skinny Dip Falls south of Asheville up tp Sparta naked except where it is along the edge of Parkway for more than a few feet or some of the long overlooks it crosses or in Asheville proper - or Linville Gorge since I have no desire to sleep outside anymore - beautiful trail - I'll pay attention and hopefully join you for sections - just had a bone marrow transplant so not

Interested for a share of this, not sure if I can get enough time to do the entire route. How long is the whole trek estimated to be?

I'd love to hear more details including length of trek. I'm thinking of putting one together in NM, AZ or UT for next year.

I'm on it all the time in west Carolina, does anyone know how long it takes? I can take some time off and do sections. If anyone is hiking in western Carolina, get in touch with me. Hi Ed, heal up and get back on the trails!
