Catoctin Mountain Park

In an effort to get a hiking group started in the Frederick MD area, I would like to propose a hike of the Yellow Blaze in Catoctin Mountain Park. We can start off from the Visitor Center, hike up to the Blue Ridge Summit Vista, and then down to Cunningham Falls. It's a 4.6 mile / 2.5 hour hike.
I'm certainly interested in getting a group going in this region. I'm a definite maybe for this particular day, as it looks like we're hosting an event at our house the following day.
I’m interested. We need more actives in this region. Last year (or so) I posted a camping trip at Codorus State Park in PA. It was short and nobody else came but I’m all in. Jim
Tim, Sounds like a great hike. I visited the area earlier this summer to visit my brother, sister-in-law and their son at their Federick vacation home. Catoctin area is beautiful. Unfortunately Ii will not be able to attend on September 3rd as I will be in Spain, Keep me posted on future hikes. California23 aka Michael Regan.
