I live just Southeast of Albany. But have been up to Lake George region, due west has been beautiful. Great forest trails, land views and swimming lake exposure. Not sure I'm with time, to get up to Lake Placid region. I'm sure it is magnificent for all aspects. Summer into early autumn best and safest.

I would love to do a multi-day canoe camping Adirondacks adventure using a local outfitter for boats, permits, support, et c. We did such a trip over 10 years ago.. I hope other GO guys would help make this happen soon. THANKS

Went to the Adirondacks last year for the eclipse on Gore Mountain. Skied the morning and partied on the deck after to watch the skies. Spent 5 nights in Lake Placid in August to hike more of the 4000 footers. Up to 10 now and would like to spend more time in that area to hit more peaks. Thinking late August to Labor Day. I live near Lake George. I go hiking in the high peaks a couple times a week. I’ve done 45 of the 46 and would love some company on Allen mountain specifically but I’m also working on my grid (all 46 in each month of the year) so I have a ton to go. Camping is harder to get time off of work but I’d love to go camping more often.
