Saturday morning it was about 2F degrees with windchill when Jon and I started up the Welch/Dickey trail at 11:30.

Woody, Tom and I hiked up Monadnock the Saturday night after Thanksgiving.

Driving down into Kings Canyon was a trip in itself with jaw-dropping views of the canyon, mountains, and valley... one of the few places that you can look up and down and sideways.

My neighbors at Cranberry Hill Farm were kind enough to let us wander across their fields in search of colorful berries and interesting plants to adorn our wreaths.

This was a 4-day, 3-night trek through the highlands and canyons of eastern Peru.
