Strides for Action traces its roots back to 1986 when it began as From All Walks of Life —one of the first AIDS walks in the country and the first fundraising walk for AIDS Action. It later evolved into AIDS Walk Boston, bringing together tens of thousands of participants and raising millions to support HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and advocacy. Today, Strides for Action is the natural evolution of that legacy, expanding its mission to address broader health and social justice inequities for LGBTQIA+ and other minoritized communities while remaining committed to ending new HIV/AIDS infections, deaths, and stigma. Since its inception, this movement has raised over $40 million—thank you for being part of this history and a future where health equity is a reality for all!
GayOutdoors will have a team at the event. I plan on doing the fun run, but you are welcome to walk as well. Our team page is below if you want to register for this great cause. The speaking program starts at 9am, and the walk/run starts at 9:45am. Whether your goal is to have a reason to get back into shape this spring or you feel strongly about the meaningful work that Fenway Health does for the LGBTQIA+ community (or, like me, a little of both), I hope you consider joining us for this!

Saw this event earlier and thought I wouldn’t rush to sign up—it’s not till June, after all (yikes!). I’ll join the run but haven’t been in running shape for a while—run on ahead when the rubber meets the road. See you tomorrow!
No worries, Keith. I forwarded you an email with details about an hour ago. Happy to have you join us tomorrow. See you then!
All sounds good to me, including the pace. See you then!
(Part Two, because of the character limit:) After, we can wander around the wellness fair, which goes until 11:30am. Text me when you arrive; I'm pretty sure everyone has my number. See you on Sunday, the first day of Pride month!
Hey everyone! So, Sunday is actually looking, dare I say it, good(ish). The rain is supposed to be wrapping up around 8am in Boston. I plan on arriving around 8:30 and watching the speaking program at 9. The race starts at 9:45. I have been oddly consistent at a 29-minute 5k over the last month, and I plan on keeping that easy pace for this race. Feel free to leave me in your dust, you avid runners.
That's the spirit! I'm excited to start Pride month by supporting such a worthwhile organization. <3
Trying to get back into running, so this gives me something to work towards!
