"The weather outside was frightful but the fire was so delightful..."

We enjoyed a festive potluck feast New Year's Eve to celebrate the last evening of 2021. The menu included Spiral Ham, Salad and lots of appetizers including Buffalo Wings, Calzone, Stuffed Mushrooms, and Bacon wrapped dates.

To kick off the New Year, we hiked up Mt. Pierce. Although the mountain peaks were in the clouds, the conditions were very pleasant- mild with light winds. The sun even came out at the beginning of the hike. Beautiful snow packed trees welcomed us as we approached the summit. The trail was snow packed with minimal ice. We shared the summit of Mt. Pierce with a friendly GreyJay at lunch before heading back down. Later on, we relaxed by the woodstove and enjoyed cheese fondue and wine.
