The Boston Holiday Party starts getting me into the holiday mood. I wanted to send out a note to my fantastic members and extended family within GO. We have been around for over 15 years and it's been a long time since that first hike where only 2 members showed up to hike up Mt. Cabot.
I want to extend my best wishes to everyone during this holiday season! When I think of everything that we have accomplished over the last 15 years - it's hard to believe that we continue to have the same level of excitement for being with friends in the mountains of New England. I'm glad that we can still provide a learning and fun experience to everyone.
I want to give a special thanks to all Trip Leaders who continue to bring unique and fun hiking experiences to the members of this group. Sure, we don't have enough beginner or intermediate hikes. And, sure, the hikes fill up pretty fast, but overall, the Trip Leaders have done a superlative job as Volunteers to provide you with these activities.
So, again, I want to wish everyone the very best during this Season and hope that you are able to enjoy the holidays with friends and family. Don't forget that the GO still hikes in the Winter Season (a favorite for most of us). Come join us and enjoy the pristine yet cold conditions of Winter!
Happy Holidays ........ Mike.
