Trip Report/Photos
Featured Photo Everyone seemed to find the trail head just fine, the parking lot was getting full, and some of us had to park along the dirt road across the way. We had a total of 11 guys for the hike which is the perfect size for these trails. The trails were covered with just the right amount of leaves :) tho some areas were still a bit muddy to be expected this time of the year. After making it to the summit, the wind pickup a bit but everyone had the right gear so it wasn't bad. A few guys hiked down to the southern summit for the better views. On our decent Dan lead the group to the old ski slopes. Due to some down trees we had todo some bush wacking, but it made the adventure more memorable. At the old ski slop the fire ant hills were HUGE pushing to 18"tall to 24" or more across and they where everywhere. As we made our way back to the cars new friendship were made, numbers were swapped, and hiking buddies will see each other again on future hikes. Another great hike with another amazing group of guys.
