The 4 of us started on just after 1000hrs heading down stream on the Nashua River. as we entered the swamp area the other paddlers learned quicklly why I love this route so much. We saw 2 beatiful Swans, 2 turtles enjoying the last sunny days of the season, a bunch a blue/gray cranes, more ducks that a person can count, 1 bald eagle flying over head. as we snaked in and out of the swamps and on and off the main river, I over heard the other paddles saying that they felt like they were far off the beaten path. That is the excat reason i Love that area so much, it is a great place to unplug. After the paddle one member and my self traveled north about a .25mi to the local fram store and grabed a home made pie. will have to do the paddle again in the late spring as the wild life is starting to come to life with their young.
