Beautiful day! Nice and easy trails (old logging and carriage roads) to reach a peak with great views - trek of 7.4 miles. Jon spread some Rosemary on our boots to keep the ticks away and it worked…ticks were not an issue! Max and Russ went to the trailhead but managed to catch up to us on the summit! John got the time mixed up and arrived one hour late so he took the time to explore other trails in the area. Paul and Dave, both from Rhode Island, drove up and ended up making reservations at the same cottages! What a coincidence!!! It was great to have Ricky join us from his winter hiatus. And we discovered that Woody, now lives near us, in Meredith! Oh…back to the trip report…summit views were extraordinary today dozens of peaks visible out to the Presidentials including snowcapped Mt. Washington! Saw hobblebush, purple trillium, purple and yellow violets, and false hellebore. BTW Paul we did find Geraniums to match your shirt!  Another group of great participants!!!
