We went over misty Pierce and Eisenhower and it was so good for the soul while we looked for rainbows with sunny hearts!

We started the day in partly cloudy skies that yielded to dense fog, walked boldly into the windswept rainy Eisenhower summit, rested and had lunch in a sheltered col, and looked forward to a hot cup of coffee once we finished. This 9 mile, 6.5 hour hike was absolutely a day for finding and conquering ourselves, more so than these mountains. It was challenging and the second half of the hike was like going to a water park and just accepting wetness. We did find a ghoulish halloween mushroom on the way down!

John came back to our house to chat beside the fireplace and enjoyed one of Jon's delicious home cooked meals! Thanks to our small group that made this mountain adventure enjoyable!
