Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

We will meet at the trailhead parking lot at the end of Orris Rd. (1060 ft.).  To get there, get off exit 28 on I-93 (Campton/Waterville Valley) and go east on Rt. 49, past the junction with Rt 175 (there's a traffic light there, and the Campton dam is to your right).  About 4 to 5 miles from this junction, turn left onto Upper Mad River Rd., and after 0.7 miles, turn right onto Orris Rd, where there should be a sign directing you to the Welch-Dickey trailhead, which is located 0.6 miles on the right after the turn.  Please note that this is a very popular hike, and that we are starting somewhat late.  The parking lot may be full, but if this is the case, you can park on the side of Orris Rd.  There is a WMNF fee for parking in the lot.  We will meet by the trailhead kiosk.
