• About me: : Just moved back to Massachusetts after a ten-plus year hiatus in Florida. Looking forward to hiking more in New England
• Favorite Places: : I love mountains, so some of my favorite places are: The Bonds, Franconia Ridge, The Presidentials, and Mt. Moosilauke, all in NH's White Mountains; the Mahoosuc range and Baxter State Park, in Maine; and anywhere in California's Sierra Nevada. In South America, nothing can compare to the Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia, for stark beauty. The photo with the rainbow flag was taken in front of the Cuernos del Paine in 1995. In Europe the Catalan Pyrenees are among my repeat favorites.
• Outdoor Experience: : Experienced summer & winter hiker and backpacker, mostly in New England. I now lean towards more moderate and relatively easier hikes that my 70+ year old joints can handle. Also, for the last ten years I have been periodically hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, mainly the French and Portuguese ways, though I am now considering doing some of the other less traveled Caminos, like the Primitivo or the Celtic/English Way.
