The Beaver Brook Trail is the most picturesque route to Mt Moosilauke as it follows along cascades for nearly a mile! The trail is steep. Really like this trail. That first 1.5 miles is for real! Shortly after the shelter it levels out and is never too steep, although there's lots of rocks and roots so footing is uneven.  As expected, there was a breeze but it was never cold. Fantastic views from Mt Moosilauke although many of the White Mountains are distant from this summit in the southwest corner of the mountains. Starting to see patches of color. Many hikers came up to view the flag on the summit as part of the “Flags on the 48” memorial for those who died on September 11th.
