We unexpectedly woke up to more showers in the morning due to Hurricane Larry still lingering off the coast of Maine so Jon and I decided to return to the ANP loop road for one hell of a show! We thought yesterday was amazing until today! We frequently stopped at various outlooks to witness the spectacular power of nature in display. We were planning for a hiking vacation at Acadia but were very ecstatic with the turn of events!

We returned to Thunder Hole with its thunderous geyser and then Otter Point. We took frequent strolls off Ocean Path hearing the thunderous roar of the surf crashing into Acadia’s massive cliffs and we felt the ground tremoring. Sometimes the crashing soared easily over 50 feet. We thought we were transported to Hawaii known for its barrel waves. We even encountered a fashion photo shoot.

Let’s hope that tomorrow’s weather holds so can finally climb up the Precipice trail!
