Summary

A cabin, mid week in early September, in the heart of the High Peaks with many of the classic hikes at our doorstep. It's going to be amazing.

My hiking group reserved Camp Peggy O'Brien in the Adirondack High Peaks. This trip is cross posted and there's 7 guys signed up already. We have room for 5 more guys. Hope you can join us.

It's a 3.5 mile walk from the trailhead, but it's a popular area with other lodges nearby, so we won't be totally isolated. The hiking can challenging or more relaxed.

THE CABIN
We're staying at Camp Peggy O'Brien, near the Adirondack Mountain Club's John's Brook Lodge. It's a 3.5 mile hike from the parking lot / trailhead. It sleeps 12, has heat and a propane stove. Bunks and mattresses are provided, but you need to bring your own sleeping bag. Water is from a pump outside. The bathroom is an outhouse. I put some pics in the photo section on Meetup. Here's the link, you have to scroll down for Camp Peggy O'Brien. https://adk.org/lodging-and-camping-information/

COST
Cost is $100 per person to cover the cabin fee. You can Venmo me @Bill-Wilson-92

SCHEDULE
I booked the cabin from Wednesday to Sunday morning, but if you want to arrive Thursday or Friday that's ok.

DRIVERS
Park at the Garden Parking lot in Keene Valley. I'll provide more details later. Here's the Google map pin
https://maps.app.goo.gl/yu62GVsHozWYeUuU6 If the Garden lot is full you can park at Rooster Comb trailhead, but this will add 1.5 miles of walking.

FOOD
Bring enough food for yourself for the days you are there. Let me know if you have questions. The cabin provides pots, pans and plates.
