This social event drew a big crowd. Many members decided to participate in additional activities on the water. 5 people went kayaking and 10 went tubing. After Friday's record setting 104 degrees, Saturday's 98 degrees still had members looking for relief on the river. Some members just dove in the water and chilled (literally, because underground springs release cool water at the river's edge).  Thanks to everyone who brought food.  We had a great picnic and lots of cool drinks. I especially want to thank the people who drove long distances to get here.  The members really made this a great day and we all got to make new friends.

What Members Are Saying About This Trip/Event

  • A great event...good mix of people, great food, perfect setting and a great time on the river AND the deck. Thanks, Charlie, for putting on such a wonderful event and making everyone feel so welcome. You're setting a new standard for GO events! - Rand667
  • Jacob and I had a fantastic time! We and our buddy, Hogan, were part of the morning "kayak crew"- had a GREAT several hours on the river. Brought out our kayaks to shore to find great food and conversation waiting for us. It was cool to be able to meet and talk with so many like minded guys. We want to say a special "thanks" to Charlie for being the consummate host and putting this together. ;-) - Brett
