Alex and I hiked Mt. Adams on this excellent last day of winter. It's too bad we weren't able to post this trip with enough lead time for others to join us - it was an exceptional Presi day.  With a good pace we went up Lowes path, stopping at the Gray Knob RMC cabin and over Adams 4 to Mt. Adams. The North Face of the mountain was surprisingly warm with low wind for the time of year, as was the summit. We found clear 360 degree views at the summit, there could not have been a clearer day this time of year.

I am learning how to hike above timberline in winter, as this was my first full season as a winter hiker. I am glad to have experienced guys in GO who are showing me how to use my gear properly and safely in deep snow conditions, including proper etiquette for leaving a winter trail in good condition for other hikers.
