That's no reason to sit around drinking margarittas.

So my partner and I registered for the Warrior Dash.

After a week of weather in the upper 70s we woke up this morning to the low 50s!  That may seem quite warm by New England standards but it is not a temperature that invites one to take a swim and wade through the mud.  Additionally the weather forecast called for increasing rain throughout the day.

So we headed out earlier to Revolution Off Road with a plan to do the Warrior Dash before our scheduled 12:15 pm start time.  We got to the site around 11:00 am and after picking up our bibs headed over to the Start Line.  As usual, the Warrior Dash folks were flexible and we were on the course in no time.

This is such a fun and laid back event, I spotted two guys drinking beer at the Start Line.  Yep, throwing back a few at 11 o’clock in the morning before doing a 3 mile obstacle course.  (I took a picture for those who don’t believe me).  And although it as chilly, there was no shortage of hot, half-naked guys doing the course.

We finished in about an hour with only one injury, running a bit then walking a bit and even stopping to pose for some photos by some of the hilarious signage.  (These are not timed events so you can just stroll if you want to – a number of people do).

As far as the injury goes, it really is Brian’s fault because he  was paying attention to the hot Italian lad who was doing the Fishermans Catch [obstacle] in front of him instead of what he should have been paying attention to, mis-stepped and pulled a muscle in his left quadriceps.
We had a great time – even with it lightly sprinkling on us near the end of the course.  Sound like fun!?  Then join me in May for my next Warrior Dash!
