Let me be your guide since I used to work here. This 3 mile hike will have excellent views of the glacier formed ponds of Bigellow and Mashapaug. You would have to travel to Maine to experience
...Meet at 10 AM at the Bigelow Pond Picnic area trail head parking lot (1/2 way into park). Look for Red Prius. Park is located on Route 171, Union, CT 06076. From I-84 take Exit 73 or 74. Then Route 190 to Route 171 East. Park Entrance is at bottom of hill on left.

16 members had a pleasant, sunny, scenic walk around Bigelow Pond and enjoyed a refreshing swim at rock Island in Lake Mashapaug before the storm arrived.
