Great Bike Ride to Great Falls

By Kent.

Despite spectacular early Autumn weather and a gorgeous route through northern Virginia, nine seasoned bicyclists still managed to complain virtually NON STOP about the hills and the cue sheet.

But fortunately the trip leader has thick skin and a good memory, and so he would like to remind the riders about the posted description: "Mostly easy grades throughout with occasionally bigger climbs and descents".

Yet amazingly these intelligent and seasoned Adventuring cyclists distorted that description, interpreting it as: "Completely level or even downhill, and entirely devoid of any inclines whatsover, with absolutely no turns and thus no reason whatsover to consult the flawless cue sheet so graciously distributed to us by our dedicated, selfless and extremely handsome Trip Leader."
