Chiltern Mountain Club

Chiltern is an all volunteer group based in New England. Their members organize and participate in a wide variety of non-competitive outdoor sports such as hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, tennis, skating, rock climbing, cross country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing, backpacking, camping and sailing.

Chiltern is a great way to meet people, make new friends and perhaps learn a new sport. If you are a New Englander that enjoys outdoor sports, they would love to have you as a member.

Getting involved is easy. Members receive a monthly newsletter that contains details about all upcoming trips. If you see an interesting event, you simply contact the trip leader to make arrangements. In most cases, the trips are free to attend. Occasionally, fees are charged if equipment must be rented or lodging is being provided, but usually, the only expenses would be your food and transportation.

If you want further information, check out the rest of their web site by clicking to their link on the right hand side of this page. They have compiled a wide range of documents about their organization.
