John Interview

Have you always been an outdoorzy person?

Yep, Once I missed morning classes in elementary school because I followed a flock of cedar waxwings all over Shillington, PA.

What piece of outdoor gear have you recently bought?

A new camera.  Its my favorite for wildlife photography and videography, a Canon SX60.  Unbelievable, a fixed lens with 65X zoom, 16 megapixels, and hd video!

What do you like about GayOutdoors?

Getting a bunch of guys together to go out and see what we can find.

What was your first GO excursion? How did it turn out?

I ran a hike last winter into the Sawmill Hills of Northampton.  We had a great time!  And then we had some soup back at my house and talked about everything under the sun.

What is your favorite Adventure Travel place?

The Cape Cod National Seashore.  I just love exploring that ecosystem!

Complete this sentence...you know it's been a good GO trip when...

I meet some interesting guys and we have a fun time.

What is your favorite healthy food?

Dark chocolate!

Favorite "bad" food?

Pennsylvania Dutch funnel cakes!

Favorite hike snack?

Maple Granola...and dark chocolate...

If you could spend the day on the trail with one person, living or dead, it would be…

I think maybe hiking with two guys, Anderson Cooper and Andrew Cohen. They would be lots of fun together.  Andrew would get Anderson to giggle the way he did new years eve.  They're both smart as a whip and very easy on the eyes.
