Richard Interview

Have you always been an outdoorzy person?

I think so. I grew up in NYC but summers in the Whites in my teens. We used to fill our canteens in the streams, sleep outside and wear cotton!

What do you like about GayOutdoors?

It's a great way to be able to reach out and connect with like-minded people.

What was your first GO excursion? How did it turn out?

I think it was Slide Mountain, Catskills with Mike and Jon. I was impressed they would drive down from NH for a day hike.

What is your favorite New York hike?

I always enjoy the Pharoah Lake [Eastern Adirondacks] hike. I know my favorite swimming hole will always be there.

What would members be most surprised to learn about you?

Gear [w]hoarder!

What is your favorite Adventure Travel place?

Any land of the midnight sun.
