One of the benefits derived from being a member has been the opportunity to meet and do outdoor adventures with great guys who share a common passion. For many of us, very strong friendships have developed over time. We believe that those touch points are the basis for the success of our club.

Our yearly GO Gathering has always been a good time. It is always great to meet old/new friends; and share stories, tales and outright lies to impress when need be :-) Unfortunately not everyone is able to attend this event. With this in mind, we would like to see GO Gatherings in every state this year.

GO Gatherings are basically a weekend camping event revolving around outdoor adventures, eatings lots of food and drinking around the campfire. Each will be organized differently depending on the geography and overall interest within each state. They are very well attended.

This is an open solicitation for a few nice members who would like to see a GO Gathering in their state!

A broad view of what we would like to see is one or two members from each state where we have a significant presence serve as coordinators for the event. Preferably someone who knows the area well and can suggest a good place for a group to camp for the weekend.

You can use Trip Ideas to get a sense as to what members in your area would like to do and how many are interested. The actual number of people is not important. What is more important is that a group of members got together and had a good time! Once you've got a date together, then Post A Trip. Be sure to use this title: [Your State ] GO Gathering.
