Chiltern Mountain Club invites the LGBT community to join us for our annual Fall Activity Day. This year's event in being held at the West Thompson Dam Recreation Area in Thompson, CT. The recreation area is in the northeast corner of Connecticut, 15 minutes south of Worchester, MA, an hour from Boston, and less than an hour from Providence, RI. We are asking $10 from attendees to cover the cost of the pavilion and food.
 
This year's activities for the day include:
 
 A 7 mile hike around West Thompson Lake
 A 20 mile bike ride through the Connecticut country side.
 Kayaking on West Thompson Lake (there are kayaks to borrow)
 Games of crochet and Frisbee gold
 Shorted walks exploring the area
 A barbeque starting at 2 PM

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

We are gathering at the pavilion on the east side of West Thompson Lake. Follow directions to the main entrance to the recreation area and drive to the boat ramp. Park at the boat ramp, follow the Chiltern sign, and walk through the forest glade to the pavilion to the right of the boat ramp.
 
· I-395 to Exit 99.
· Take Rte. 200 East to Thompson Center.
· At the Red flashing light take a Right onto Rte. 193.
· At the next traffic light go straight across Rte. 12.
· Cross the railroad tracks and go to the top of the hill.
· Turn Right onto Reardon Rd. proceed past the Park Office to the main recreation road on your left. Take this road to the boat launch.
 
Using GPS, try Campground Drive, North Grosvenor Dale, CT
