Despite a cloudy day, 34 atendees showed up for the annual World Naked Bike Ride in Montpelier Vermont, several from Gay Outdoors!  While last year there were over 50 participants, a record, given the forecast, 34 was more than satisfactory.  We gathered at 1pm, mingled in the park and ride parking lot, and after getting ready, everyone set out at 2:00pm.  There were 14 riders and 14 walkers, the riders took off in one direction down a bike path toward the downtown area and the walkers walked down rte 2 and then through downtaown Montpelier where we all met at the steps of the statehouse.  We had numerous positive ineractions with people as we rode/walked through downtown Montpelier area often stopping for people requesting photos or to converse with those inquiring about the event.  As usual, it was a great day as we brought attention to global warming and the use of fossil fuels, ecouraging healty alternatives to automobile use such as walking and biking, while also promoting body positivity and nude recreation.  Thank you Montpelier for hosting this important annual eventa nd thanks to all the participants who made the day a success!
