On a perfect September morning, Sundance and GayOutdoors hikers met at Sloatsburg, NY to spend a day hiking to Pine Meadow Lake and back. The group of 16 was friendly, diverse, engaging and exactly what a good hiking group looks like. Drivers from Connecticut and New Jersey met the NYC commuters at the Sloatsburg train station and shuttled them to the trail head, where they met co-leader, Rich, and his companion dog, Chester. Gregory and Rich led the hike along the Pine Meadow trail to Pine Meadow Lake, where the group had lunch and relaxed before hiking around the lake and back. The day was spendid; the conversation relaxed and easy. Group members came from Connecticut, New Jersey and New York City. Chester had his splash in the lake and the day was complete.
