The hike on the Florida National Scenic Trail will begin at FR 9 and head north to the Jackson Lake Boat Ramp. It will be a one-way hike and will require a car shuttle.

We will be leaving the Burger King for the trailheads at 8:00 AM sharp. Please plan on arriving eariler for breakfast and instructions.
Trip Report/Photos
Two of us did this hike over a 4 hour period. We had sunny weather in the 70's with a slight breeze.
This hike through Florida prairie was differend than the previous day's hike. There were an absence of pine trees on this section of the trail. We did a little over a mile of hammock though. Godwin Hammock , where we had the only shade for the day.
If you have a phobia of walking through high grass, this was not the hike for you.
