Trip Report/Photos
Featured Photo Thanks to Max, Jon T, John L, Jim, Kieran, and Desmond (and of course Macy!) for joining Joe and I on the hike to Mount Livermore today via the Brooks Fisher Trail. It was in the 50s and cloudy. We brought microspikes just in case due to the snow/rain event on Friday, but fortunately we didn't need them, as there were just a few portions that had an inch or two of snow on it. The Brooks Fisher Trail was just created a few years ago, and is a very gentle way up to the Squam Ridge with a lot of switchbacks. Once we got up to the Squam Ridge and got on the Crawford Ridgepole Trail, there were views of Squam Lake almost the whole way as the leaves were not on the trees yet. We had lunch with great views at Mount Livermore, and then we backtracked to Old Mountain Road and took that back down to Perch Pond Road and walked along the road back to the parking space. We then went to get coffee and baked goods from Squam Market and continued our conversation at a picnic table outside. Thanks to everyone for great conversation and camaraderie today!
