Nov.12, 2018 hike up Doubletop Mt in Baxter State Park.  The Tote Rd was closed, so I accessed the trail using woods roads west of the park.

Snow cover was minimal at lower elevations, but maybe 5 inches higher up, with maybe 2 inches on the summit ridge.

This was a solo hike of just over 8 miles.

It is 3.6 miles from my parking spot to the North Peak, and took just over 3 hours.  I continued on to the more open south peak, and returned the same route.  My total hike time was 6 hrs 45 min.

Elevation gain was around 2,190 ft.  Starts out easy, then a really steep stretch, then gets easy again, with another steep stretch just before the north peak.

Weather was nice, mid 20's.  It was windy, but that was only a problem on the south peak.
