Lonesome Lake to Cannon Loop

Arrived Friday afternoon in a light rain. Saturday morning I darned a sock and chatted with a bunkhouse neighbor while waiting for the rain to let up. Then headed out at 10:15 AM on the very wet Fishin' Jimmy trail. Stopped by a misty Kinsman Pond and then crossed the Cannonballs following the Kinsman Ridge trail. I couldn't see much beyond around 100 feet I guess, so I focused on finding natural colorways along the trail. The colors were amazing with the diffuse light. I made it to the summit of Cannon and then took the Lonesome Lake and Dodge Cut Off trails, arriving back to the hut, soaking wet, by 3:15 PM. Saturday night sky was clear and awesome.

Sounds like a great trip. I regret waiting too long to book the hut.
