Five hikers met at 10 AM - largely level walk on dirt roads through forested area around Bear Hole Reservoir in West Springfield, Mass.  This undiscovered outdoor gem is only about 12 minutes from downtown Springfield.  We walked the short loop in a little over an hour.  If you are looking for a more strenuous experience, a network of trails north and south of the Massachusetts Turnpike are embraced by the Bear Hole property.
