Summary

4.3 miles, elevation gain 2106ft. The Davis Path was first built in 1845 by Nathaniel Davis. This route begins by crossing the bridge over the Saco River and then heading uphill through the forest. The top of Mount Crawford has stunning views of Crawford Notch and the surrounding mountains. You will need proper footwear with traction, microspikes, dress in layers, snacks and lunch. Hike can take 3.5 to 4.5 hr with time foir lunch included, but also dependent on pace and trail conditions.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

Follow I-93 North to Exit 35 (Rt. 3 North).  Follow Rt. 3 for 10.4 miles, where it hits Rt. 302.  Turn R on Rt. 302.  The trailhead is 16.8 miles east (and south) on Rt. 302, which is roughly 8.5 miles beyond the AMC Highland Center.  You'll recognize the trailhead parking lot on the east (left) side of Rt. 302 both by the nearby Notchland Inn, and by the interesting suspension footbridge that crosses the Saco River a few hundred feet to the left (north) of the lot.  From Concord, NH, allow 1 hour and 55 minutes for this drive.
