Summary

In the North Conway region we will hike Peaked & Middle Mountains which have a variety of scenic vistas and natural features with amazing views of the Mount Washington Valley and of Saco Valley in Western Maine.   All this for relatively little effort.

From the parking area we will walk about 0.2 miles we will bear left onto the Peaked/Middle Mtn. trail.

At the fork (where Peaked & Middle Mtn. trails split) we will bear left and continue on the Peaked Mtn. trail. This trail has two junctions where we will bear right (note: at the first of these two junctions if we take a left we can visit the flume just 0.3 miles one way).  Back on the main trail - and once at the Middle Mtn. Connector junction - we will bear left to the summit. Our hike to the summit of Peaked Mtn. is about 2.1 miles from the trailhead.  Snack Time !

Descending Peaked Mtn. we will take a left onto the Middle Mtn. Connector.  At the junction with the Middle Mtn. trail we take a left to the summit of Middle Mtn.  Lunch Time !  Once back on the trail we will retrace our steps to the prior junction. We will take the Middle Mtn. trail back to the trailhead.

Estimated Elevation Gain: about 1650 feet
Estimated Distance: 5.8 miles (with excursion to the flume)
