SUMMARY:
From I-5 south take the 30th Ave. exit. Go east, turn left at the stop sign, then right at the next intersection by the Texaco station. Park in the gravel lot or right on the side of the highway, then follow the paths to the service road which leads to the beach. Wade a narrow stretch of the river over to the island.
