I started this hike in foggy seasonal weather. The first 2.7 miles are fairly challenging given a 3,000-foot gain. Once I reached the ridge, the wind kicked in: a perfect opportunity to dry out t-shirt and top. By then, the skies had cleared up with some residual haze. The rest of the hike was uneventful. Only a couple of hikers were seen going down the Benton trail. By early afternoon, the temperature felt summer like. I completed the hike in a little less than 4 ½ hours. Until next hike.
