This AT hike in Tennessee will be 9 miles in length will be mostly down hill. Starting at Beauty Spot at an elevation of 4427 feet and ending at Nolichucky Gorge Campground at an elevation of 1700
We will be meeting in Erwin, Tennessee for this hike. The meeting place will be theSuper 8 hotel in Erwin. The addrees and phone number are 1101 North Buffalo Street and (423) 743-0200.
There is inexpensive accamodations at the Super 8 Hotel in Erwin.
We shall be leaving the Super 8 at 8:00 AM sharp for the trailheads. Plan to arrive earlier. There are plenty of fast food places nearby if you are going to have breakfast.
We did this hike with 19 participants. And the hike went smoothly. All of the hikers were nude in celebrating the Summer Soltice. We had 3 females and 16 males. There were no great views on this hike, except for the hikers themselves. So, we have no photos for this hike.
The Mountains Laurel was in bloom though. Nice down hill hike.
