This hike is a moderate hike of 7 miles along a graded trail along the northern ridge of Mt. Holston with occasional views of Lake Holston on the right and Shady Valley on the left.

We shall be leaving the diner at 8:30 AM sharp to drive to the trailheads. So, be sure to arrive earlier.
This was a nice 7 mile hike on a well maintianed section of the AT.
The hike was mostly in a cloud with the threat of rain as we neared the end.
About 20% of the hike was through pasture land.
