OUR VISIT WITH THE CARTERS

The Carters kept calling us - so we decided to pay them a visit. As you know they reside in a spectacular neighborhood.  We were looking forward to our visit - knowing we would love every minute.  Yes, it took some effort to get there, after all they reside a bit out of town, but it was well worth it.

On the way to our hosts we came across a familiar face – Imp Face that is.   He invited us over for some terrific views & a drink.  He also introduced us to some of our past American statesmen.  He never disappoints.

We still had a ways to go, to reach our destination, so we bid the Imp farewell.

Finally we had arrived.  Luckily for us all the Carters were there to greet us.   We visited the Carter to the north first.  There were a few other visitors.  As you know the Carters are a popular bunch.  We socialized for a while and had pre-lunch snacks and drinks.

We had to move on however - the rest of the Carters were expecting us.

The weather was great for our travels – sunny, yet not too hot. Throughout our visit we took pics of the Carters (what a photogenic bunch) and their surroundings.  They are renowned as being excellent landscapers.

After subsequent visits, with more of the Carters, we finally arrived at the home of the southernmost Carters.  We were a bit late for lunch – but nevertheless they were very hospitable.  By the way, they make the best fluffernutter ever (I was the only one to imbibe).  Andy & Jim had other delicacies.  Lunch at the Carters never disappoints – a true feast for the eyes and palate!

Not to overstay our welcome, and knowing they were expecting other visitors, we moved on.   Upon leaving, we bid the Carters adieu, with hopes of returning someday.

Those Carters are just the best…

By the way - it was a terrific hike.  A fun day with great company and good conversation.  Thanks Jim & Andy for making this a memorable trek.  Looking forward to our next GO “visit”.
