A friend in Asheville and I are going to hike on July 6th – it should be remote enough to do most, if not all, naked – we are going to get an early start and the best place to meet is at a
Walker Knob Overlook on Blue Ridge Parkway and if your GPS does not recognize that try 3641 Blue Ridge Parkway – Walker Knob overlook is not too far north of Craggy Gardens, which is at mile post 364.
2 of us set out about noon after a wet morning - a word to the wise - weather this time of year can change and yesterday's forecast was decent - this morning the forecast indicated wet weather between 10AM and noon so I contacted the folks I knew were hiking that we were pushing things back an hour to noon - someone who had not signed up for the hike showed up at 11 and no one was there - had I known he was interested I would have also let him know about the time change - anyway the sun was out for most of the hike, the temps were high 60's to low 70's and it felt great to be naked in the woods - sorry there are no pics - I searched all over this morning for the camera and assumed I had stuck it somewhere after the last hike and would find it when I was relaxed and not turning things inside out - and I did - at the end of the hike in the backpack right where it is supposed to be. LOL - some days are better than others - we ended the day in Asheville at the Sky Bar followed by a delicious meal at Tupelo Honey's
