This trip will be a very relaxing and peaceful weekend of camping along the Rock River, near Oregon, IL. The campground is accessible by river only, so it will require us to paddle either in canoes or
Initial meeting spot will be the public boat landing on Rt. 2, in Grand Detour, IL. This is located on Rt. 2 on the south side of town, just north of the bridge crossing the Rock River. Most vehicles will be left here, since this will be where we end up at the end of the trip. We will carpool to Castle Rock State Park (about 7 miles away) where the actual camping will take place.
