Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

  • Travel By: New Jersey Transit to Morristown New Jersey.
  • Meet At: Morristown Station at 11 a.m. (22 Morris Street, Morristown, NJ 07960)
    We will drive from the Morristown Station to Frelinghuysen Arboretum and Acorn Hall. Drivers: please let me know if you are willing to share your ride with the train-people.  
  • Costs: Roundtrip New Jersey Transit from New York Penn Central to Morristown is $26. Acorn Hall tour cost $6. There may be other costs associated with the arboretum.

Trip Report/Photos
It was a great trip to the arboretum. Special thanks to John for sharing his time and gave us a free and very informative tour. John works for the arboretum; and his knowledge of the place and the plants are invaluable. Our next stop was Washington Crossing. It was a very educational trip to a historical place. The tour was very interesting. Overall, it was a pleasant trip; and the pace was leisurely. A very nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
