The Mossy Ridge Trail at Percy Warner is probably more commonly known as the 'red trail' by locals for the red blazes that mark this path. At 4.4 miles, it's the longest trail in the Warner Park ...
Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at: We'll meet at the parking lot of the Warner Nature Center at 10:00AM, and proceed to the trail head. Although the center will be closed, the parking lot will be open. Plan for about 2 hours of walk-time, and bring the usual supplies: water, sunscreen, hat, etc. Sections of this trail may stay muddy for days after rain, so bring good walking shoes or hiking boots that can get wet. Only heavy rain will cancel this trip. I'll confirm the trip 24 hours in advance, and provide my contact info at that time. The park address is 7311 Highway 100, Nashville, TN, 37221. Follow the signs for the nature center once you're inside the park.
