We will meet at A.T. parking lot on U.S. 311 one mile from Catawba, VA and leave car(s). Then drive to where the A.T. crosses U.S. 220 near Daleville, VA. From there we will hike ~5 miles and
From I-81 in VA (near Roanoke, VA): Take exit 141-N. Electric Road, northwest towards U.S. 311. Turn right on 311 towards Catawba, VA. 1 mile shy of Catwaba, 311 crosses the A.T. The parking area is on the left. I will be driving a silver Toyota Tundra and be there by 12:30 pm on Friday. After leaving car(s), we will follow 311 back to I-81 and proceed north to exit 150B. Take 220 1/2 mile north and park at the lot at Tinker Mtn. Road/S.R. 816 near trail crossing.
