This should be a pretty quick and easy morning hike to get your juices flowing. Pine Park is a major trailhead for the Munger Trail. It's east to get to from nearly anywhere in the
From St Paul drive north on I694 to MN Hwy 36 toward Stillwater. Take CR 5 north through Stillwater to the intersection with SR 96. CR 5 becomes CR 55. Take CR 55 north about 3 miles to park entrance in left. Park at far end of parking lot near rest rooms.
This was my first GO hike with another member, thanks Larry for joining!
The trails in Pine Point Park were nice, well marked and made for a very easy hike. Most of the trails had plenty of horse dung so you had to watch your step. The park wasn't very big so the hike was pretty short, but at least the weather was nice.
I'll be looking for some trails with more varied terrian for next time!
