It was a sunny day with temperatures in the mid 60s, low winds, just a perfect fall afternoon for cycling!
We had 8 guys from VT, NH, CT, MA and Brazil meet up in Brattleboro for the Tri-State Ride. The roads were in beautiful shape with hardly any traffic (commercial or otherwise) as we zipped through the postcard-like scenery of the Connecticut River Valley towns of Vernon VT, Northfield MA, Hinsdale NH and back to Brattleboro VT.
We stopped briefly in Northfield MA, sadly found the creemee closed for the season and grabbed snacks at nearby Mim’s where we spied a flier posted for “hard-working & hard bodied teens who have the time and can help you out…” Ahem.
Feeling it was time to move on, we headed north to Brattleboro VT and repaired back to Frog Meadow Farm in nearby Newfane for an abundance of BYOB snacks & drinks as well as a relaxing dip in the wood-fired hot tub while mingling with the B&B’s guests including honeymooners Brian & Kelly...all while sharing a beautiful country sunset. Needless to say, a good time was had by all.
Hoping we can post & host another cycling trip this fall & will hope to see you all there!
