More than once I uttered the above words. It was a spectacular day for a bike ride. The weather was summery, dry, blue sky, light breezes and deep shadows. The scenery was equally wonderful...horses grazing, vegetable farms, meadows, wild flowers, birds singing.
My first "rest the buns and balls" stop was at deCordova Sculpture Park in Lincoln before they opened. Raisins, almonds and dark (72%) chocolate hit the spot until breakfast in Wayland. I stopped in Natick at my former partner's house. In exchange for some help moving a large box, I was served a freshly squeezed cold lime ricky. Then onto Sherborn where my very good friend's family were engaged in an estate sale.
Ample opportunities to take a refreshing dip in ponds and rivers, but skinny dipping is more fun with other sweaty buddies. The 55 mile trek was so enjoyable I am offering it again on August 7th. Time to get in shape... join me!
