Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

Lamoine State Park 23 State Park Road, Ellsworth, ME 04605, (207) 667-4778
From Ellsworth, ME, head east on Route 1 to Maine Route 184, head south eight miles to the State Park on your right. Contact me to find out the group site #, so that I can coordinate the logistics of running a 4-day outing, and because of the problems I've had with No Shows.

What Members Are Saying About This Trip/Event

  • Kayaking from Lamoine state park was just great. We say, porpoise close enough to hear and see air from their "blow holes", seals, a bald eagle, and the scenery (see photos) was spectacular! We did a novice trip from our put-in at the Frenchman's Bay beach at the park and then, those with spay skirts and boat handling skills to match, paddled around Scoodic Point and finished the weekend at the sea kayakers paradise, Stonington! Thanks to Tom and Jeff for organizing the trip. - JohnMaineIslandTrail
