The best way to get to the start of the Freedom Trail is by public transit. If you're coming from outside the city, it's best to park near an outlying subway station and take the MBTA to Park Street. Both the Red and Green lines run directly to the Park street station where we'll meet. The Park street station is located on the Boston Common close to where the trail begins.

Trip Report/Photos

3 of us ventured out to rediscover how beautiful Boston is. Following the well marked Freedom trail we enjoyed the sun and each other's comapny as we walked in the footsteps of the founding Fathers. We finished the hike by climbing up the Bunker Hill monument to see outstanding views of Charlestown and Boston. A commom comment throughout the day was, "jeez, I forgot what a nice town this is."
